Jacques Pepin worked for HoJo's?!

I'm almost finished listening to the audio book of The French Chef in America: Julia Child's Second Act.
It's a wonderful follow up to Alex Prud'homme's first book about Julia, My Life in France.  If you haven't read either of these books yet, I highly recommend them.  They're perfect for for foodies and biography lovers.

I'm learning all kinds of juicy tidbits about Julia and her friends (Jacques Pepin was recruited to cook for Howard Johnson's in the early 60s.).  Who knew?!

Now I'm going to borrow a bunch of library DVDs of Julia's cooking shows!
